Tour Itinerary
Day 1 - Monday
  • Early afternoon arrivals to Novotel London Tower Bridge, London
  • Expert-led walking tour of London To include Tower Bridge, Roman London, Southbank, Shakespeare’s church, and Borough Market
  • Early evening Welcome to London reception and dinner
  • Overnight accommodations at Novotel London Tower Bridge, London

Today we’ll begin our journey with an expert-led walking tour of the Southbank of London. This area is rich in history as you’ll quickly discover. From The Romans to Shakespeare, your guide will make the history of this remarkable and vibrant area of London come alive. You’ll view The Tower of London, Tower Bridge, ancient Southwark Cathedral, Shakespeare’s Globe, as well as the trendy Borough Market — home to some of London’s best street foods.

Later in the day we will gather for a welcome reception and group dinner to toast what will be a very special tour of England on-screen.

Day 2 - Tuesday
  • Breakfast at Novotel London Tower Bridge, London
  • Coach journey to the seaside town of Whitstable As seen in Whitstable Pearl
  • Time at leisure for shopping and exploration of Whitstable
  • Coach journey and viewing of the White Cliffs of Dover
  • Coach journey to Brighton and exterior viewing of the magnificent Brighton Pavilion, the seaside palace of King George IV
  • Dinner at leisure in Brighton
  • Overnight accommodations at The Grand, Brighton

Today we will journey to the vibrant coastal town of Whitstable, as seen in the series Whitstable Pearl. Whitstable is renowned for fresh seafood, quirky shops, and a fun coastal vibe.

You will have time to explore before we head off to see the iconic White Cliffs of Dover. Stretching for 10 miles along the coastline of Kent, these white, chalky cliffs have come to symbolize England.

Later in the day we will arrive to the coastal city of Brighton for a viewing of the Royal Pavilion and an overnight stay at the top-rated Grand Hotel, just steps from Brighton beach.

You’ll have the evening free for ample time to enjoy Brighton.

Day 3 - Wednesday
  • Breakfast at The Grand, Brighton
  • Visit to Chartwell, the much-loved home and gardens of Sir Winston Churchill
  • Lunch at Chartwell
  • Visit to magnificent Knole
    House and gardens A stately home featuring associations with King Henry VIII, Elizabeth I, and poet/novelist Vita Sackville-West
  • Group dinner at Tylney Hall
  • Overnight accommodations at Tylney Hall, Hampshire

Situated in the beautiful county of Kent lies Chartwell, the much-loved country house and gardens of Sir Winston Churchill. Here you will view his painting studio, home and the gardens that he cherished. You’ll quickly understand why Churchill said "A day away from Chartwell is a day wasted".

In the afternoon we will head for Knole House and gardens. Built in 1456, Knole is one of the great treasure houses of Britain. Here you will enjoy a tour of the house famous for its art and furniture collections, and time to relax in the stunning gardens and in the 1000 acre deer park. We then head to Tylney Hall, your country house home for the next 3-nights.

Tylney Hall is one of England’s finest country house hotels. Built as a private home in the early 18th century, and today is a fine hotel situated amongst beautiful gardens and a wooded parkland.

Day 4 - Thursday
  • Delicious breakfast at Tylney Hall, Hampshire
  • Visit to Bampton As seen in Downton Abbey®
  • Visit to historic Cotswolds villages As seen in Father Brown
  • Group Murder Mystery evening at Tylney Hall, Hampshire
  • Overnight accommodations at Tylney Hall, Hampshire

Today we will journey to the Cotswolds and to the beautiful, historic village of Bampton. Bampton was the setting for all of the village scenes in Downton Abbey®.

After a special tour of the village, we will also see the magnificent St. Mary’s Church dating from the 9th century – and the setting of the wedding of Lady Mary to Matthew Crawley in Downton Abbey®

Afterwards we will venture deeper into the Cotswolds to see the picturesque areas used in the filming of Father Brown.

Late in the afternoon we will head back to beautiful Tylney Hall where guests will enjoy an interactive Murder Mystery evening.

Day 5 - Friday
  • Breakfast at Tylney Hall, Hampshire
  • Visit and tour of Jane Austen’s Cottage in Hampshire
  • Visit and expert-led walking tour of beautiful Marlow As seen in The Marlow Murder Club
  • Visit to Henley-on-Thames As seen in Midsomer Murders
  • Group dinner at Tylney Hall, Hampshire
  • Overnight accommodations at Tylney Hall, Hampshire

We will begin today with a memorable visit to Jane Austen’s cottage in Hampshire where Jane lived and wrote many of her renowned novels. For any fan, this is the most treasured Jane Austen site anywhere in the world. During your fascinating tour you will see the rooms she used every day alongside priceless articles of clothing and objects cherished by Jane.

Later in the day we will head to the lovely town of Marlow: as seen in The Marlow Murder Club. Here you will have a tour as well as free time to enjoy.

In the afternoon we will stop in Henley-on-Thames – famous for The Henley Royal Regatta. This beautiful Thames-side town has also been a frequent setting for Midsomer Murders.

Day 6 - Saturday
  • Breakfast at Tylney Hall, Hampshire
  • Coach journey to London
  • Visit to Whitehaven Mansions, Hercule Poirot’s London flat
  • Visit to a hidden London filming location used in Downton Abbey®
  • Visit to Agatha Christie’s home in Kensington
  • Farewell group reception and dinner in London
  • Overnight accommodations at The Clermont Victoria, London Just steps from Buckingham Palace

After a beautiful breakfast in the elegant dining room at Tylney Hall, we will venture back to London to see the much-loved Kensington home of Agatha Christie. Despite the constant bombing of London during the Second World War, Agatha remained in her home here, writing many of her greatest works.

Later we will be off to see the iconic Whitehaven Mansions, made famous by Sir David Suchet as Hercule Poirot’s home in the many ITV adaptations of Agatha Christie. While in London we will also visit another site used in the filming of Downton Abbey® before a farewell dinner to remember in our London hotel — just steps away from Buckingham Palace.

Day 7 - Sunday
  • Breakfast at The Clermont Victoria, London
  • Departures after breakfast

Today guests will enjoy a delicious breakfast at The Clermont, Victoria Hotel, located in the heart of London.

After breakfast, guests may check out at leisure, or continue exploring the area.
